The Conneaut Valley Lions Club presented a check to the Conneaut Valley Homecoming Association in the amount of $500 at the Conneaut Valley Homecoming Association's pancake breakfast fundraiser. King Lion Donald Wheaton, president of the Conneaut Valley Lions Club, presented the check to Josh Sherretts, president of the Conneaut Valley Homecoming Association.
This special donation was the result of retiring the Conneaut Valley Leos club. As with Lions around the world, all the proceeds of fundraisers benefit Lions International or other local charitable organizations. All of the funds raised by the Leos in their community service have been returned to the local communities where the fund were raised.
Donald Wheaton said “The annual Conneaut Valley Homecoming is the largest fundraiser for the local Lions. The Lions benefit from the continued success of the homecoming and the homecoming benefits from regular attendees looking for the Lions’ sausage sandwiches. The homecoming event was popular among the Leos, and it only makes sense that the Homecoming Association would benefit from the Leos’ community service.”
